Problem Statement

Municipal Need

Municipalities are in need of resources to keep up with population growth, as well as supply and demand of communities. By capitalizing on the strategy of idea generation in the front-end of the design development phase of projects, municipalities have the opportunity to leverage municipal and community resources to reduce/offset municipals costs.

CONCLUSION

Idea Generation Strategies led to Sustainable Opportunities for Municipalities

The final product of the Waste Not Want Not capstone was to produce a report that recommends the requirement of idea generation strategies to be implemented into the conceptual design phase of municipal projects. By incorporating this step as a requirement, more options and opportunities will be realized in the front end that may potentially reduce the cost burden of projects on municipalities.
